Bess Price (she/her) is the Education Manager at The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, where she coordinates, plans, and facilitates outdoor science learning experiences for almost 25,000 K-12 students annually and oversees the training of more than 100 Texas State University students who help deliver those experiences each year. A Texas native, Bess traces her career path back to family road trips and camping trips growing up. She earned a B.S. in 4th-8th grade Science Education from Texas State in 2015 and taught 8th grade science before returning to Texas State for an M.S. in Sustainability Studies, transitioning from formal public education to her current role at the Meadows Center. She firmly believes in education as a tool for a sustainable future in which humankind coexists with nature, as part of nature.
